“On this unusually cold April morning, as I packed the kids lunch, struggling with present burdens and pleading with God for a glimpse of His will at work in my life, I received a text from my wife.
‘U should hurry & get the kids ready and take them somewhere they can touch the snow.’
A bit begrudgingly, I got the kids dressed, teeth brushed, bundled up, put on snow boots and headed to the hills. As I drove, I lemented on life, fixated on my seemingly dim perspective.
Soon we were in the mountains, trees heavy with the wet Spring snow from the night before.
After a few minutes playing in the fluffy white stuff, we headed back down the mountain and to school. A sermon played on the radio as I admired the amazing view from the mountain top. My phone chimed with an incoming spiritual thought of the day. It related to God’s perspective and as I peered into the valley below, began to praise Him for this simple reminder.
We often get mired in our dull, low-land perspective, forgetting that He sees it all, and most importantly, has a plan.”
I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. Jeremiah 29:11 MSG
